Origins: Brook Stag lives in the Shallow Brooks where the water is fast and the footing is unreliable for anything that didn't grow up in it. It is a modest card by stat – 2/1 – but makes the terrain do more work than any similar-tier card in the affinity. The current does what the Power stat doesn't fully capture. A slow card that hits harder than slow cards are supposed to because it learned to borrow the river's momentum.
Finishing Move: Current Push: Uses the brook current as an extension of its own force – what looks like a simple push is accelerated by moving water and lands considerably harder than a 2 Power card should manage.
Synergy & Rivalry: Terrain amplifier in Water Commons. Earth's Clay Bison shares its affinity for difficult, loose terrain and they have developed a pragmatic mutual respect that mostly involves not fighting in each other's home zones.
